At Watches and Wonders 2024, Ulysse Nardin introduced the next evolution in their avant-garde Freak series: the Freak S Nomad. Limited to 99 pieces, this exquisite timepiece draws inspiration from sci-fi spaceships and features the Calibre UN-251, with a flying carousel and dual 20-degree-inclined oscillators. The movement, composed of 373 components and 33 jewels, operates at 2 x 18,000 vph and offers a 72-hour power reserve. The 45mm case, crafted from titanium, anthracite PVD-coated titanium, and carbon fiber, ensures a lightweight and futuristic design. Highlighting its unique movement, the watch eschews traditional hands and dial, instead using a one-hour orbital flying carousel and a rotating hour disc with a diamond guilloché pattern. This artistic and technologically advanced watch epitomizes Ulysse Nardin’s dedication to pushing horological boundaries.
