At Watches and Wonders Geneva 2024, Patek Philippe unveiled the World Time Reference 5330G-001, a groundbreaking timepiece featuring a world-first date display synchronized with local time. Originally showcased at the “Watch Art” exhibition in Tokyo, this watch is powered by the new caliber 240 HU C movement, which includes a patented differential system for seamless date adjustment. The slender 40 mm white-gold case combines Patek Philippe’s signature elegance and technical prowess, while the blue-gray opaline dial adorned with a carbon motif adds a modern aesthetic. A transparent glass date hand ensures legibility on a transfer-printed scale. The watch also features a 24-hour disk with day and night zones and a red indicator marking the International Date Line. Its sapphire-crystal case back reveals the meticulously finished movement, complemented by a blue-gray calfskin strap with a denim motif for a contemporary style.
