Audemars Piguet introduces the Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Openworked in a groundbreaking 18-carat sand gold alloy. This innovative material, debuting with a dynamic play of light between white and pink gold, enhances the 41mm watch’s technical complexity and contemporary design, featuring a durable case and bracelet, sand gold-toned inner bezel, white gold hour-markers, luminescent hands, and 50-meter water resistance. Released for the Royal Oak’s 50th anniversary, the watch combines a self-winding mechanism with a flying tourbillon, featuring 27 jewels, and a 65-hour power reserve, operating at 3 Hz. The openworked bridges and mainplate of Calibre 2972, in a matching sand-gold hue, create a unique 3D effect with rhodium-toned components, showcasing hours and minutes hands alongside the flying tourbillon.
