Brand representatives from FOCAL, ASCENDO, TRINNOV, and Audio Advice were in attendance to lead press members on a guided tour of the exhibit and demonstration spaces. Let’s get into our favourites from the night.
ASCENDO and TRINNOV
Pushing the envelope is the best way to describe the wave-forming demo presented by Audio Advice. All you need is twelve subwoofers, a room, and an idea. This was a debut for Trinnov WaveForming at Audio Advice Live, and a debut for Ascendo subwoofers entirely.
WaveForming can be implemented with as few as four subwoofers, but for Audio Advice Live, Trinnov and ASCENDO have staged an especially impressive demonstration. The 25’ x 25’ x 8’ Magnolia 2 demo room features Trinnov’s flagship Altitude32 audio processor and Amplitude16 amplifiers, as well as twelve ASCENDO “THE16 SUB ACTIVE SEALED” German-built 16-inch subwoofers.
And if that wasn’t enough — infrasonic bass has entered the chat — a 32-inch super subwoofer (pictured at the end of this article) that produces bass you can feel like never before. Seriously! Make sure you’ve eaten your Wheaties before entering the room. Internal bodily fortitudes will be put to the test.
